Austin, TX (September 12, 2022) — This afternoon, the Southwest Public Policy Institute is pleased to announce that Joshua Young has joined the organization’s board of directors. Mr. Young will be taking the lead on Texas policy, outreach, and operations.
Mr. Young is the founder & president of The Republic Capital Management LLC in Austin, TX and an active member of the Austin chapter of the Liberty Leadership Council. Over Mr. Young’s 17 years of experience in the investment industry, he became increasingly concerned with the politicization of investing and consequently corporate America, leading him to create constitutionally responsive investing, an active ownership service for conservative and liberty minded Americans.
The Southwest Public Policy Institute is the leading public policy think tank dedicated to promoting and defending liberty, personal responsibility, and free enterprise in the American southwest.
Patrick Brenner, president of Southwest Public Policy Institute said:
“Mr. Young brings his entrepreneurial spirit and proven ingenuity to the Southwest Public Policy Institute as we continue expanding our coverage into every state in the American Southwest. I’m thrilled that Mr. Young has thrown his hat in the ring, enabling us to bring sound public policy solutions to Texas. There is plenty that Texas does right, and we’d like to copy those solutions to other states.”
Joshua Young, director of the board of Southwest Public Policy Institute said:
“I look forward to working with Mr. Brenner and the great team at Southwest Public Policy Institute. There is an opportunity in the public policy space for the application of data analytics and an entrepreneurial approach to solving issues facing hard working New Mexicans and all Americans across the Southwest.”
