Phoenix, AZ—The Southwest Public Policy Institute (SPPI), a leading think tank dedicated to shaping policy and advancing public debate on key issues in the American Southwest, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn M. Peterson as a new member of its board of directors. In addition, at the first board meeting of 2024, the Institute proudly elected Becky Ingoglia as Chairwoman of the board, succeeding Megan DeLaRosa, who graciously served in an interim capacity.
Shawn Peterson brings a wealth of experience and expertise from his distinguished career in public policy and advocacy. With over thirty years of service in various capacities including positions in federal and state government, private lobbying, and service to the Catholic Church, Mr. Peterson’s depth of knowledge and commitment to the common good make him an invaluable addition to the Institute’s board. His leadership at Catholic Education Partners, as well as his involvement with numerous educational and policy organizations, underscores his dedication to public service and policy advancement.
Becky Ingoglia, the newly elected Chairwoman, steps into her role with a strong background in finance and strategic planning. As a multi-state licensed CPA and owner of Ingoglia CPA, PLLC, her expertise in financial management and corporate governance will be instrumental in guiding the Institute toward achieving its strategic goals. Ms. Ingoglia’s unanimous election by her peers is a testament to her leadership qualities and vision for the Institute’s future.
