Anna M. Gonzalez

Policy Analyst

Ms. Anna M. Gonzalez is a Policy Analyst at the Southwest Public Policy Institute (SPPI). Ms. Gonzalez works on consumer finance, government transparency, and accountability. She contributes to SPPI’s policy briefs and op-eds examining the effects of public policy on individuals, businesses, and communities, and she co-authored Swipe Right, SPPI’s white paper on comparison shopping tools and lead generators.

Ms. Gonzalez first joined SPPI as an intern, spending two years there while in college and gaining experience in writing and social media. She has also provided marketing and advisory services to companies in financial services, hospitality, retail, and other industries, and she runs her own photography business serving individual and commercial clients. Working directly with businesses, and running one of her own, gives her a firsthand perspective on how policy affects their operations.

Ms. Gonzalez holds an associate degree in business administration and management from Chandler-Gilbert Community College. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and outside of work enjoys riding her Harley-Davidson Nightster.
