Albuquerque, NM—The Southwest Public Policy Institute (SPPI) has named Gregory A. Schroeder Executive Vice President of its Center for Financial Inclusivity, expanding SPPI’s work on credit access and consumer finance policy.
Mr. Schroeder brings a background in lending, credit, mortgage processing, and risk. At SPPI, he will focus on the policies that shape access to credit and the choices available to consumers.
“Greg understands […] what these policies mean for people who have the fewest options.“
Patrick M. Brenner, President
“Greg understands how credit markets actually work, not just how they look on paper,” said Patrick M. Brenner, President and CEO of SPPI. “These debates get abstract fast. We want to keep them grounded in what these policies mean for people who have the fewest options.”
“Most people don’t think about access to credit until they need it,” Mr. Schroeder said. “The policies behind that access have real consequences, and I want to help make the case for policies that open doors instead of closing them.”
Mr. Schroeder’s background includes residential and commercial lending, mortgage processing, quality control and risk, along with experience running his own business. His profile and biography are now available on the SPPI website.
