SPPI Welcomes Zachary Fort to Board of Directors

The Southwest Public Policy Institute (SPPI) is proud to announce the unanimous appointment of Zachary Fort to its Board of Directors during the Institute’s quarterly board meeting held Monday, August 11th.

Fort’s appointment comes as SPPI recognizes the dedicated service of three outgoing board members—Megan DeLaRosa, Becky Ingoglia, and Patrick O’Brien—whose terms have reached their conclusion.

Patrick M. Brenner, President of SPPI, expressed his gratitude and optimism: “We’re incredibly grateful to Ms. DeLaRosa, Mrs. Ingoglia, and Mr. O’Brien for their years of service and invaluable contributions to SPPI. After three years of operations, we’re thrilled to continue our expansion, welcoming appointments of such high-caliber public figures like Zachary Fort. His experience and dedication will help propel our mission to new heights across the Southwest.”

Zachary Fort, a finance professional and individual liberty advocate from Albuquerque, NM, brings a wealth of expertise to the Institute: “I’m honored to join the Board of Directors of the Southwest Public Policy Institute. SPPI’s commitment to advancing individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, and sound public policy aligns perfectly with my own values. I look forward to contributing my experience in finance and public policy to help further the Institute’s mission in New Mexico and across the Southwest.”

Fort currently serves as President of the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association, where he has led public policy engagement, grassroots activism, and litigation efforts. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Eastern New Mexico University, a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from the University of North Dakota, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Mexico.
